Remote sensing & 3D analysis

Measuring slope deformation from point clouds, imagery and satellite data — and separating what actually moves from what only appears to.

Terrestrial and airborne LiDAR, photogrammetry and satellite interferometry each measure something slightly different, with their own error structure. Most of the value lies in knowing which technique answers the question at hand, and in handling the uncertainty honestly rather than reporting millimetres that the data cannot support.

Typical work includes multi-epoch change detection, structural analysis on point clouds, rock mass characterisation from 3D data, and the reconstruction of deformation histories from archive imagery.

Typical deliverables

  • Multi-epoch change detection and displacement fields
  • Structural and rock mass characterisation from point clouds
  • InSAR-based deformation review
  • Survey design and specification for tender
